Miles of smiles during this year's successful fundraiser
Three days of fun, food and free music, the best appearing on Irish Street, of course, succinctly describes this year's International Street Faire. One of Old Towne Preservation Association's main fundraisers of the year, the beer booth was a success mainly due to the truck load of volunteers. Many thanks to the beer booth's chair person Mike Ochs, a first year board member and street faire committee chairman. His hard work and organization skills were put to the test during the holiday weekend. Helping behind the scenes was veteran volunteer, Diana Zdenek, scheduling volunteers, designing signage, and offering sage advice for the first time chair person. "We were really fortunate to have new board member and Old Towne resident Mike Ochs and OTPA volunteer of the year Diana Zdenek agree to take on this huge task. They both worked endless hours on this event and much of the credit for the beer both's success goes to them," said Mary Matuzak, board member and Street Fair committee member. |
