21 Annual Bungalow Heaven Historic Home Tour

Living History Home
Pasadena California
April 25, 2010
10am-4pm

The 2010 Bungalow Heaven Historic Home Tour – taking place April 25, 2010 – is a self-guided walking tour of several homes with the Bungalow Heaven Landmark District of Pasadena, California. Visitors can tour interiors of selected homes and enjoy activities, demonstrations, and live entertainment on tree-lined, picturesque streets.

The Living History Home is one of the featured Home Tour residences and, in 2010, is held at a 1926 Spanish Revival residence. Actors impersonating the original owners offer a colorful and witty history lesson for visitors, taking a retrospective look at “the way things were back then.” The inaugural Living History Home, held during the 20th Anniversary Home Tour in April, 2009, helped tour-goers gain a “big picture” perspective of the era with a script that featured interesting facts and opinions about the political, social, and technological climate of the decade. The 2010 script will focus on the Roaring Twenties and will once again provide educational context to Bungalow Heaven's unique Craftsman-style architecture and interior, period-era furniture, artwork, and domestic collections.

In 2010, Kristin Stone once again serves as the producer, script writer, and one of the performers for the  Living History Home. Stone, a Pasadena-based, award-winning theater producer and performer,  created and produces Inside Private Lives (http://www.insideprivatelives.com/), LA Times Critics' Choice, Los Angeles Magazine's "Pick of the Month," Edinburgh Festival Fringe “Pick of the Fringe” and, most recently, San Francisco Fringe's 2009 “Best of the Fest.” Stone created and produced the script for the inaugural, 2009 Living History Home.

Kristin Stone is available for interviews to discuss the Living History Home. To arrange an interview, please contact her at  626.201.1140 /  Stonekristin@aol.com.
